SEOKWOON YOON

SEOKWOON YOON completed his studies as PRATT INSTITUTE in 2017, going on to work for various fashion industries, including Public School and GAP in New York, London, Paris and Berlin. He then launched “SEOKWOON YOON” in New York in 2017. The world’s leading designer platform ‘NOT JUST A LABEL’ chose Yoon as “Black Sheep designer” as an outstanding designer in his junior year. His graduation collection was selected Pratt Annual Fashion Show and presented at New York fashion week in 2017, and WWD introduced his collection. Yoon was selected as CFDA FASHION GRADUATE FUTURE 2017. 

SEOKWOON YOON captures inspiration from a wide-ranging mix of historical and modern-art references. The label evinces a standing boundary between art and ready-to-wear with a conceptual theme on his collections. Designer Yoon translates inspirations particularly with Trompe l’oeil technique and combine art in his ready-to-wear collections. The label’s signature is expressed with the form of oversized and transformed pieces, reconstructed and unconventional twisting construction, offering a constant research for textile and structure through creative draping.
