FACETASM

“Standing between streetwear and luxury is just second nature to Tokyoites” Hiromichi Ochiai says during an interview with Japan Times in 2015. Today, his label FACETASM can be described as the quintessential culmination of Japanese street cultures fused with high concept tailoring. Founded in 2007, the label’s name and ethos derives from the word ‘facet’, meaning many faces. This multifaceted approach to design can be seen in the “super-layered Tokyo style”, where complex layers on one outfit fit together precisely, almost like pieces in a jigsaw puzzle. FACETASM is definitely one face to watch, because with each collection revealing a new facet, we are always left craving for what’s next.
